Greening-Gambia Initiative (GGI)

This project examines the role of Tree-Planting as a practice that impacts climate change, poverty alleviation and sustainable economic and social growth and development of the Gambia and the Globe at large. Our forests are gone, wildlife disappeared, our environment, ecosystem and biodiversity need urgent actions. Agriculture is at a mainstay, underpinning our food security, export earnings, investment attraction and rural development yet our attitudes to improve natural resources is lagged.

The Team

The “Soil Solution Gambia” is a non-profit organization that was founded in 2018. We have four people actively involved in the following roles; 1. Executive Director Oversees the organization activities and communicates with people in the projects. 2. Program Officer Helps in planning, organizing and running program activities 3. Secretary-General Keeps organization documents updated and signatory to organization documents and bank account. 4. IT Officer Responsible for organization database and designing.
