The Team

We are a group of film students from CityVarsity, Cape Town. We are shooting our 10-minute films that are screened at the end of the year and are marked as our final/end of year exams. Our film, titled Cauterized, will be filmed at the abandoned Groote Shuur Zoo near The University of Cape Town. Our Crew: Ryan Gordon Director: Ryan Gordon is a Cape Town-based City Varsity film student, and writer and director of the short film, Cauterized. With his passion for storytelling and visual art, Ryan aspires to work in the film industry when he graduates. He has written and directed the short films Embrasure and Everythingy and worked on many sporting events videos, student films, and infomercials. He also works as a photographer and teaches Photography and Parkour at various schools. Megan is also an amateur photographer and cosplayer. She has some experience in prop fabrication and costume design. Megan Shaw started studying for a Diploma in TV & Film at CityVarsity in 2019 and is currently in second-year. She directed a one-minute horror short, Sketchbook in 2019. She did the makeup and tattoos for An Eye For An Eye (2019) and the camerawork for Embrasure (2019). Editor of Page Six (2019).
