Because We Bleed

Because We Bleed is an organization aimed at engaging with sexual and reproductive health matters, with a specific focus on the inaccessibility of sanitary products in South Africa. We are dedicated to highlighting these issues through spreading awareness, coordinating action and distributing sanitary products to marginalized communities. Our current project includes the delivery of sanitary products to Women's Shelters like The Frida Hartley Shelter.

Chloé Maluleke is a 20-year old student, studying international relations and politics at The University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, SA. She is dedicated to Women's rights and gaining justice for marginalized women in South Africa. Alexandra Fletcher is a 19-year old student, studying Liberal Arts and Sciences at Maastricht University, Netherlands. She is passionate about ending period poverty and ensuring a better quality of life for disenfranchised groups in South Africa.
