The Team

The team behind Maynardville includes many parts. The most important and without whom it would not happen is the artists. It is them we celebrate by keeping this space open for them to build their craft and have a place for artistic expression. The Maynardville Trust has this at the forefront of our minds when we meet to give life to the future festivals. Over many years though there have been partners; The founders Cecelia Sonnenberg and Rene Ahrenson; since the 70’s Artscape (probably the most well known of the custodians), but more recently David Sonnenberg (Cecelia’s son) and Diemersfontein, and the likes of Siv Ngesi and Allan Committee. But it is the Trust together with Brian Heydenrych who have bought it to this point and look to take it into the future
