Molokoane Street

Molokoane Street is just like any other township street in South Africa, except it is here, in the heart of Hout Bay’s Imizamo Yethu, that we visit, cook and laugh with some neighbours. Taste their recipes, learn about some traditions and feel for their individual life-stories.

The Team

Originally from KZN, I have been living and working in Hout Bay for the last 18 years. After qualifying from Michaelis School of Art, Cape Town, and briefly working as a photographer, I ended up starting my own export trading company and travelled sub-Saharan Africa meeting with clients and generating business. The company still operates but I have mostly retired from it. Over the last few years I have re-discovered my passion for photography, graphic design and writing and am now fully invested in the Molokoane Street project. Rose (L), myself and Lindi (R) are the Molokoane Team.
