Zamani Bicycle Empowerment Center

We have recently taken delivery of a container load of 220 bicycles donated by the Bicycles for Humanity NGO in the USA in conjunction with the Rotary Club of Empangeni. We want to equip the container as a bicycle repair workshop for an old man who has been repairing children's bicycles for years.

The Team

I am Peter Livingstone, married to my lovely wife Robyn, a teacher at Darnall Primary school for over 25 years. Known to the children of Zamani as either Andrew's father or James' father We moved here from Benoni in 1995 and have raised our family, Kimberly, Andrew and James in this community. I am a dreamer, committed to working towards making dreams a reality. I dream of a community, currently in despair following retrenchments and shutting of their lifeblood - the local sugar mill - being picked up by their shoe-strings and being given a hope that exceeds their wildest imaginings. Big dreams start with the first step and we can make a difference, one child at a time. Help me to help them to help South Africa
